Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Coated Polystyrene Cills

    Hi,

    I'm trying to find a supplier for something I know I've seen somewhere.

    Basically, its a cill made of polysytrene that is coated in about 5mm of a cement like substance.

    They'd be a nice way to get that traditional look in an externally insulated or ICF house.

    Anyone know where these can be source?

    not sure of that product, but GRC cills exist that could be filled with insulation...

    They sound like the stuff that scanhome use to box the slab HDEPS with a glassfibre/cement mix .
    But I think the sizes would be wrong for Cills. they are 8" tapering to 4".

    Would these not be too heavy to sit on the external insulation?

    I've seen these. As you say the shape is wrong. Plus I'm told they are brought in by Scanhome directly from sweden so sourcing them is out.

    I do think it's a very similar product.

    I think I found something that may get me out. Foamcutter here has a company that do architectural details (amongst lots of other things) so he could likely sort me out.

    I'd render it at the same time as the wall.
