Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just to say that I find it very difficult to follow the photography threads on Boards- it is just impossible.

I would like to get involved but it is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.. so it's back tpo photo.net. for me.

Has any Board photographer ever been to the Curragh and taken photos(of the races that is) and would they know good places to be to get good shots?

I hope to go there for the Irish Derby later this month.

Are there any Irish speaking photographers who like Leonard Cohen here?

Or are they all locked up?

That is a very fine photo indeed- I love the grass lines.
Do not worry about going back in July - you have a great photo in June! ( I would crop a good section of the sky out and tighten in a bit from the left as we look at it)

Yes...I got a flight voucher for Christmas and only got around to using it yesterday. I think I was supposed to spend more time actually flying the thing, but I had the camera stuck out the window most of the time :D

Well seeing as this is my 200th post on boards I thought I'd post something constructive, as well as my first photos to the photography pages.

I have to say that I am truly humbled, inspired and delighted at the talent on this forum. Thanks to all that post and keep me entertained during my lunchtime and evenings :) AWESOME.

Anyway here's my first 2 photos

Even though I don't like these I did get a pic of them just a day or two before they were cut down after at least 3 years!!

And here is the coolest kid on earth (my newphew)

Just gave them a quick touch in picasa, not familiar with lightroom yet.

Edit: managed to get it right on the 4th attempt!

There is a difference between manipulation and cropping.
Cropping a photo does NOT make it a fake.
