Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

She sold out Vicar Street twice this week and I got word of an impromptu/secret gig she was playing in Kilmainham to raise money for the Liberties Festival. The light was pretty grim so my shutter speeds and AF suffered a lot and the colours and noise on most were terrible because I had to underexpose so much. Somehow I managed to get this shot?

The concept that people just ' plonk' a photo here and that's it is totally wrong.

There are good photos that should be commended- and bad photos where advice to the phototaker would be of benefit.

There must be a way to organise this better?

    Brian,

This is one of the reasons why this forum works - people can just show a photograph off without wanting to be critiqued on it. A hint is in this thread title - it is for random stuff. There is no ego's on this thread. It is open to the person who has just picked up a point and shoot or the professional of 40 years who wants to share what they do. As such, it doesn't need organisation :)

New threads can and often are started in the main forum (there are a few there at the moment) where people want specific critique and comment - these are flagged C&C in their title. The choice is theirs.

If you take a look through the sequence of posting on the main forum you'll see the idea.

Drop me a pm, if you've any questions,

    Cheers.

    Brian

There is no need to thank a person for thanking your post.

    To thank a post:
You see the little thumbs up button, post_thanks.gif, clicking that will thank a post. I think there is a daily limit for the number of posts that you can thank.

Myself and the missus were out in Ballymun at the weekend having a gawk at where the Ikea shop will be. I knew it was close to the airport but I had no idea it was this close:
