Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nice one, you should lob that into Anouilh's flower thread too.

I like the composition with the emphasised perspective and the close up detail of the bark.

The hue changes don't appeal to me at all though, at best a bit of a lark for a few seconds but I'd probably prefer something closer to the natural colours, or given the textures and light and shadow I'd guess it would be nice in b&w too. /2c

PS You can set up a free account on pix.ie and upload your pics there - it gives you code to copy and paste to get your pic on here, so easy.

PPS If you start a thread with C&C (comments & critique) in the title and post the original and other versions you'll probably get a lot more feedback, well worth it.

Very first pics with new SLR. It'll take a bit of getting used to. That or I'll break it, lose it or have it thrown at me.

Its a HDR, the sky was wicked looking anyway (to the naked eye), imo it needed a bit of cajoling to get the dynamic range of it the same as the naked eye (well maybe a bit ott :p).

Hi, how many exposures did you use to get the right effect.

Thanks Trish, much appreciated. I usually do collages as a default mode when I'm in a bit of an inspirational lull. It's handy to have a default that's still being creative and keeps you going rather than throwing the camera into a drawer for months.

Church in the Liberies during the week. This way of working through a lull brought me to a mosque, synagogue (my own one too and it proved the trickiest for permission??) and 4 churches of varying denominations. I've a lot of work to do to make them a cohesive collection. This one I like but it's not fitting in with the others.

Catholic Church on fuji film. Olympus Trip, no flash.

So, to draw the line - excellent postings as ever. Well done to all contributors.

Actually worth mentioning - It's always worth while going back to some of the older threads which still exist to see how the forum and it's users progress.

New Random Thread XII Open for business.

    Thank you.
