Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Devils Glen? Wonderful spot and shots...

Is that what it's called? Parked at Tiglin Adventure place and trecked down (hadn't been in 20+years). As an experienced* hiker I wore Italian loafers and carried a 2'x3' mirror and a step-ladder.
    Worth the schlep though.

Didn't quite catch the focus right. But I think it was been one of them weekends.

ha, sounds like a sight - yeah, that place (devils glen) has a bunch of those sculpture things littered around it. I go up quite often. There's a car park, it's a bit hard to find...but if you're ever going back it would be worth finding out....your loafers will thank you for it.

But if I was adding an extra light, where would I aim it?

im new to that lark tbh. i find lighting from the back to be cool looking myself - then use the one off the side for your 3d look... if you know what i mean? you could light the face from another angle and project the shadow at a different angle, the possibilities are endless! snoots, gobo's cookies all that lark. Lighting is great to play with

ever read this?.. good tips on that site if you dont know it already.. They do out lighting diagrams etc. its sort of a bible for some people. It was for me for a few months, then i started to think they were just using strobes for the sake of using a strobe and it wore thin. Great fun when you get into it tho!

    Morning :)

    KJT Great picture.

But on the main hill in the centre of the image, on the left hand side there appears to be a line running along the crest of the hill - is that from your mask? Also, there appears to be a strange circular artifact to the right hand side of the image - you should maybe clean those up as I find them sort of distracting.

Beautiful image though, nice work :)

    alexandros - wow - actually I find it a bit spooky - in a deep-water kinda way?

kjt - beautiful yet menaceing! I wouldn't change a thing, as it makes you investigate the shot - it's great.

Thanks man! Yea the circular artifact is some added lens flare, it's quite a heavily processed shot. I haven't been working on photoshop for weeks now so decided to go all out on this image.

Ah I see!! Thought it looked like something from post alright! If thats the case, maybe make it a bit more prominent.

It is a really nice shot though :)

......maybe make it a bit more prominent.
    QUOTE]

Please don't. IMHO and to my eye, the flare is perfect! It's just subtle enough to draw you into that part of the shot, and then you're hooked! I love these kind of shots, makes me come back for another look. Even the telephone wires in the bottom of the picture are great, as you can't help follow the line!
