Hi there, I was recently told my child has asd, mild autism which was devastating to say the least. The child generally looks /acts normal , has a little difficulty with some words but improving. Welcome to the real world of Autism and Autistic people..because that is what Scuffles is...the intelligent thoughtful, whole, rounded, person on the inside, looking out of a profoundly autistic individual.

I knew Amanda Baggs (online) as a warm, witty young woman for a very long time before I realised she was, to all intents and purposes, non-verbal.

PS Scuffles...a great deal of Hans Asperger's work was destroyed in an *allied bombing raid*, NOT by the Nazis...the Nazis left him alone for some reason...
