Dang, sounds like Andrew Maxwell had a rough one. Poor guy.

Neil Hamburger- I was familiar with his stuff from before and I'd never felt like I wanted to go to a show of his if the audience wasn't also familiar with it. I always feel like the "so-bad-it's-good" comics need to be known to the crowd, otherwise people will just be disappointed.

    well after reading this:
Anyone who's still unhappy can get free tickets to my show in Vicar Street.

Fair play to him and aiken promotions for this! he seems genuinely mortified for what happened and i feel very bad for him!

Hadn't heard about maxwell at all! Fair play on the apology but what a disaster for him in front of his fans and fellow comedians. Seemed he learned his lesson though!
I went to see shane langan's comedy literature show on the sunday which was great. Lots of my favourite heads like david o doherty, jarlath regan, Maeve higgins but the highlight was definitely mark doherty reading from a play he wrote, just brilliant!
