This isn't exactly a broadband question, but I couldn't find any more appropriate forum, sorry. Mods: move it if you know one !

Anyway it's a simple question: an eircom landline is always witholding its number; how can I change this ? I've googled^nth and the phone book won't say. I think it used to be something simple like #56

    Thanks!

If you mean that you want to make a call and not withhold your number then prefix it with 142

Thanks, but really I just want to make it permanent and not have to remember to do that every time

Think you have to ring 1901 and ask them to set line to show caller ID.
