I used to like Burkes on the North strand for a good laugh but it's closed now and doesn't look like opening back up. Also a fan of the beachcomber and the racecourse and the elphin if I' looking for a quiet one.

oh and to spreadone you like clearys? The OHs da lives out of that place and it's the most unwelcoming place to people under 35 i've ever been in or to people who don't have a moustache it's like the places dress code haha.

Campions, Malahide Rd. Local bar staff, no door staff, everyone served including members of the travelling community and not once in 12yrs drinking there have I seen a row.

For the city centre its Darkey Kellys on Fishamble St, esp. for an all day session on Saturday when there's ballads from 5-9 then a cover group from 10- till closing.

And my wildcard entry would be The Bloody Stream in Howth for no other reason than I just like the place.

    Ryans of Camden Street
I used to like neary's but E5 for a pint of Guinness is ridiculous

Oil Can Harry's on Mount street.

Used to go to the Barge alot but have not been there in a while, for some unknown reason.

The shakespeare on Parnell st is a great pub. Really good atmosphere any time I've been in it.

Never been in the Welcome Inn but remembering passing it one day and it had a sign on it not to enter if you did not know a patron. Always thought it was a bit ironic for a place called the Welcome inn.

Liked the foggy dew for afternoon pints, doyles for afters and always liked O'neills on Suffolk st... However my favourite pub is the blue light up in the Dublin mountains. Don't get up there much though.

All trendy, scrubbed up well bankers/journos and accountant willing to spend almost a fiver a pint "aul-fella style".

    Ryans of Queen street.
    Chaplins on Hawkins street.
    Kennedys beside Tara street station.
    Ryans of Camden street
    Devits on Camden too.
The lower Deck and Bernard Shaw in Portabello
The last and but not least, is Brogans on Dame street.

Also Gravediggers and Campions, although it's been a while since I've gone near either. Does Campions still do hot joint rolls/sandwichs Makikomi? They were deadly! :D

That's a nice tarnishing brush you have there,
Humberk. As far as I'm aware Doheny & Nesbitt's
clientele might head that way in the evenings, while
the other two tend toward student/general mix.
The physical style and atmosphere of Nesbitt's
is certainly aul-fella. Top marks for needless
    condescension.

Really didn't want to come across as conescending, I don't see it myself but if you do then I beg your psrdon.
The OP is looking to see what are peoples' favourite pubs. Some people are giving a little line as to why and some aren't. You did but the information is mis-leading.
So without any intention of being condescending: they are three fine establishments you picked 'tot but they are not, in any manner or demeanor, aul-fella bars.
