Good first date ideas...

I need some ideas on where to take a girl on a first date, so I'd appreciate any advice from you ladies please...

Met a girl online a few weeks back we've been getting on very well, lot in common etc. I was supposed to take her out this weekend but unfortunately for several reasons it did not happen. I was going to take her for a drink in a nice bar in town, few cocktails, and then on to a comedy club - which I think its a good plan for a first date, nice, relaxing, fun and enjoyable.

Our date is set for Wednesday its the only day we can both do it - and my preference of a comedy club - is not open mid week, so I need to think of something new.. I like to do something better than just a drink or dinner etc - anyone got any decent suggestions? I was thinking the theater, Shawshank Redemption maybe, but someone said that it's too Coupeley for a first date.

Then I thought maybe do a different type of 'dinner' and bring her for Teppanyaki (Japanese restauraunt where they cook the food in front of you...) but not really sure...

Anyone got any better suggestions? Girls what is the best date you've been out on?

Why not do something abit different

dinner theater all done great in some ways but to be honest I drather pull my teat out then do the dinner movie theater things......

I once had marks and spencers sushi (if you wanna call it that ) On the top of the sugens car park in dublin...
I once brought a flask, of coffee with me and set on a beach with a blanket.. and talked.
Most recent one was teaching a girl how to skate on a skate (skateboard) properly....
I try not to go with the norm and allways push for something a little different..

I mean the way I look at it is you can do the predictable or you can go a little broad side and do something fun and be unpredictable..

you can do the nice dinners any time first dates say a lot i think they should be fun, formality's can wait thats my take..

It's a first date. Do something where you end up talking and interaction, not focusing attention on an act or entertainment.

Make the environment secondary to her, not the other way round.

The best date I was on, was a picnic on top of the Wicklow mountains, and even though it was freezing, that didn't seem important, as it was the company I was with.
