Jaysus, I've got to own them all before I can comment! A three-calibre battery to do most things I want though? Hmmm, can't think of it, so I'll try keep it to as few as possible.

6.5 x 55 hard to beat with the range of heads available, very accurate across the board even if our of a 1898 Swedish Mauser or a modern Sig Sauer 205!

Yep. Nice to shoot too. Easier on the face than .270. No fliching.

I like .17 HMR and .22 pellet flung at 35 ft lbs. Stealthy dealer of death to pica pica.

.270 isn't too bad either. 6.5x55 is lovely and mild though. Was shooting an 8mm Mauser on the 17th and I can really see how that would give you a flinch if you put a lot through it in short order.

Must be 7-08, never had one... yet
maybe a 22-250 for the small things and a fed 338 for bigger things.
    all on short a action.
(on the other hand my 308 is just between 7-08 and fed 338)

    1. 9x19mm FMJ by fiocchi or MFS, usually around 125 grain

    2. 9x19mm HPJ Golden Sabres by Remington.

    3. .22LR by fiocchi

    1. winchester - 45gr. sp in .22 hornet.
    2. Federal - 40gr. ballistic tip in .223rem.
    3. Lapua - 108gr senicar in 6.5x55mm.

I'd love to go back to the Hornet if reloading came in as it's a beuatiful little round which punches above it's weight.

Ah heck better throw my penny in:D

The most under rated cartridge you either love it or hate it

    1. 22 Hornet (35grain Hornady) (:o

The one that I nearly bought and will if they become more popular

    2. 204 Ruger:eek:

    3.22lr
The one I am going back to and miss for targets greys/mags and wabbitts:cool:

.22lr the best all rounder by a country mile when all is weighed up (loving Lapua Centre-X at the moment).

.9mm CCI 115gr FMJ 'cause it's cheap and never fails in the G17 in the heat of competition or in the tepidity (that's a word right?) of practice. Actually a G17 would probably cycle birthday candles wrapped in chewing gum....

Hornady 55gr Moly .220 Swift, 200yd tack driver with fox dropping power.

The .204 Ruger has me intrigued. Seems to be a great round on paper but not too many seem to have 'em. Why is this? Conservatism?

    22lr, 223, 308 (I really want one of these:D).
