Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It had been coming. Im sorry for Newcastle's fans, but for the likes of Ashley, and some of his predecessors, i couldnt give a toss. The way they treated the likes of Allardyce and Roeder was sick, standing by Joey Braton until the last minuite was a joke, and they have damned the fans to a season of the most mind numbing football they will ever see. They made Newcastle an unattractive club, and they ended up with the players they have now i.e. has beens, nobodys, and the "superstars" like Collchini, who have done little or nothing for the club.

For the fans (as a mad Hammers fan, who knows what relegation is like), I sympathise

Too big to go down? My @rse. Goodbye.

Good riddance Newcastle, contributed nothing to this seasons premiership.

    Toon in the Championship

My oh my how the mighty have fallen. To think they once contended the Premiership with United.

Think that puts paid to the myth that some teams are 'too big to go down'. Makes me wonder how close Villa really came in DOL's last season in charge.

It's not harsh on Ashley and the rest of the board, but it's harsh on their fans. Suffering relegation is one of the worst feelings in the world as a fan, so yes, I feel for them too.

Are they showing shots of fans crying?

It's woeful. 1pt from safety. They were really rubbish this year.

not as close as it looked

Really expected Newcastle to rally for this one and at least manage a draw.

Relegation is never good for a club, at least it gives them a chance to get rid of the dross though.

It's incredible to think that Newcastle are now in the Championship. Bloody hell, they'll been playing league football against Scunthorpe Utd next season.

Yes because the over-expectations of a slim minority outweights the realistic vast majority.

they never seem to be the slim minority tho do they

the keegan thing lost any respect i had for newcastle, and since then ive been unable to see them or their fans as a laughable mess tbh. today is a great day for football

I feel for the toon fans but Newcastle really lay down and died today. No heart at all, Survival Sunday (copyright Sky Sports) was such an anti-climax, surprise surprise

Phil Brown out on the field now singing to the Hull fans! Good lord

Of course we'll be hurting today. We've had to put up with 38 games of pure muck this season.

Fans have been incredible but our players have been piss poor. How our players cannot get inspired by 52,000 Geordies giving it their all then we deserve to go down. Slackers the lot of them.

Regardless of me being a Newcastle fan they deserved to go down, I'll continue to support the club in the championship but they really need an absolutely huge overhaul this summer. In a way I'm glad this has happened and hopefully Ashley will lose a fortune.

    Absolutely disillusioned though.

Shearer speaking the truth on SS1.

"No excuses. It's the dressing room that hasn't been working."

As stated I feel for the fans of Newcastle , the fans of any club those player show them that level of disrespect , their performance today was shocking no heart ,commitment and loyalty , As say " they went with a wimper ", No bottle or effort really .Seemed like they just didn't care.
