Has anybody managed to install topography maps onto their system? I'm trying to get the Scottish Mountaineering Club maps for Ireland working. They are installed but I'm not seeing the countours. I have a Garmin Nuvi 200w:

I seem to be able to get height details for the mountains but not see the actual contours. Maybe somebody else has been down this route before.

    Thanks :)

I've got them on my Nuvi 760. Go into Tools > Settings > Map > Map Info and check whether the map is present, and that there is a check mark in the box as well (I can't remember if it was checked by default when I installed them on mine or not). It may also have something to do with the Map Detail settings in the same settings menu. I have mine set to More rather than Normal and it shows more contours in that mode. Especially if you're somewhere relatively flat, then you might not see much at all in Normal mode.

Thanks for that. Looks like it is a limitation of the Nuvi 200W so.

Have you tried the maps from emerald-island?
His maps are based on the SMC maps but are much better. They also contain data from openstreetmap.com.
