Ex minister Michael Woods in an interview on RTE on Saturday said one of the reasons he concluded the "sweetheart" financial deal with CORI on his last day in Office was because "The then Government had given a promise prior to the election that they would do so"

Is this the first time that an Irish Politician has been so concientious about an Election Promise?

In my experience Election Promises are forgotten the day after the election!
