Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Very Nice North1. No 3 is my fav.
but....I don't like the cropping of no. 1, ie. the chopped off heads in the reflection !

Thanks Morrisseeee, unfortunately number 1 is straight from the camera no crop, I missed the reflection when taking the picture. Point taken.

A baby swan is a cygnet. The parents are Mute Swans, the largest bird native to Ireland. They are so-called because they are largely silent though they do squak now and then, they can be found the entire length of the Shannon and on most inland waterways and canals. The birds mate for life. They are just about able to fly and watching them take off is a sight as they have to run along the surface of the water for a distance to build up speed before they get airborne.

Are they nearby to you? Would be nice if you could keep track of them as they grow up?

Those are lovely photos :) Particularly like 4 and 5. The fifth showing the swan and its babies (sorry cignets!) is cute. Number 2 is an interesting photo as the Swan appears to try to cover its young with its wing!
