I have 2 webcams in 2 seperate locations and I want to use a ftp prog to send the recorded images (using motion detection) to a third pc set up as a server.

How easy would this be to set up bearing in mind that I have never set up a server or FTP.

    Thanks

Running Linux? You can use motion to record from your webcam when it detects motion and wput to push saved images to an ftp server. Some googling turned up this http://www.codejacked.com/turn-your-webcam-into-a-security-camera-in-linux/

FileZilla Server is user best option for running a FTP Server from a Windows host.

On the portforwarding issues what Router/Firewall do you have on each site?
