Car Rental Barcelona

    Hi, We are going to Barcelona for 2 weeks and due to the ever growing family we need a 7 seater!

    The main sites for car rental appear expensive. Does anyone know if we could find a local rental place on the web or the local prices in Barcelona?

    You can try the following

    http://www.arguscarhire.ie

    http://www.autoeurope.ie

    http://www.avis.ie ( I only use Avis )

    You can find local agents but then again you will have nothing to base them on because unlike Hertz, Sixt, Avis etc etc would be world renowned.

    Barca car hire(made up) could give you older cars and have awful terms and conditions.

    Arguscarhire do good rates and use the big companies.

    Can you give us the approx dates in Barcelone please? Some of us have the spare time to do a little searching and would be glad to help.

    A 7-seater for 2 weeks though will always be IMHO pretty expensive but some cases like this one work out well in the end.

    We are going from 3rd June - 18th June. Tight budget this year:( But it is great to have a holiday:)

    Arguscarhire are €634 for a Touran which is a 5+2 seater.

    But, Where do you put your luggage when you arrive? On your laps?

    Have you considered hiring two fiestas?

    @ 332.68 each or 2 berlingo 5 seaters @ 381.97 each?

    Alamo have a Citroen C8 2.0, 7 Seater for €611 including :

    * Third Party Liability insurance - provides cover up to €1mill for damage/injury caused to people and property by the driver of the rented vehicle.

    * Theft Insurance and Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) - covers theft and damage to the rented vehicle, less and Excess Liability


    If you're travelling with Ryanair have you tried using their link to Hertz as Munster Gal did in the other thread that I linked to? She got the 7-sater for for 2 weeks for €323 (in France).
