Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Any recommendations on roof coverings for workshop?

Want to steer clear concrete tiles and corrugated coverings and anything that needs to be torched on. The few slates real and synth I've looked at are a bit expensive.

From ceiling in it will be - plasterboard / vapour barrier /rafters & rockwool/ ply sheathing / breathable felt / battens?? and covering??????

    Cheers

Flat roof , with 4.5/12 pitch, if that makes sense?

Liam300tm - Not sure what insulated cladding is, my concern with corrugated sheets is that they are prone to vibration and noise , which I have to keep to a minimum.

Are there any self adhesive mineral felt type things that can be rolled and nailed on instead of torched??

If so how do they compare with the cheaper slates pricewise?

    Any info much appreciated, cheers

not quite sure what you mean 4.5 / 12... that works out at 37.5 degrees??...

You have other roof membrane choices than torch on...

Sika Trocal is a pvc membrane that has heat weld joints....

sarnafill is another, but more suited to larger jobs...

    dont use a rubber material...

Insulated cladding panels are two steel/aluminium sheets with an insulated core so they are 60-100mm thick in total (depending on level of insulation required.
Kingspan supply these and can advise on sound-proof qualitites and details. Generally it will be through fixing details that sound will travel - your choice of ceiling material could also improve this?
Tegral also supply, and possibly others.
Generally they are fixed to pressed steel putlins, but can be fixed to timber joists if your spans and use is light enough.
