The other day I was talking to a friend of mine and we got to talking about what song you'd have at your funeral, so if you had to sum up your entire life by a song, what song would it be we wondered?

    For me, mine would be:
Wanted Dead Or Alive - Bon Jovi

So what song would everybody else say?

I'm not even kidding here, I would gladly have "Looks Like I'm Up S**t Creek Again" by Tom Waits played at my funeral!

Ruby Tuesday by Melanie seems to describe me to a very, very frightening degree, so I suppose I'd choose that in one of the rather more melancholy versions.

    This version, not the Stones one, particularly the bold bits;
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]She would never say where she came from
yesterday don't matter cause it's gone
while the sun is bright - or in the darkest night
no one knows - she comes and then she goe
    s

Goodbye Ruby Tuesday, who is gonna hang a name on you
and when you change with every new day, still I'm gonna miss you

Don't ask her why she leaves to be so free
she's gonna tell you it's the only way to be
she just can't be chained - to a life where nothing's gained
and nothing's lost - but such a cost

Goodbye Ruby Tuesday, who is gonna hang a name on you
and when you change with every new day, still I'm gonna miss you

Oh, There's no time to lose I heard her say
you gotta catch your dreams before they run away
dying all the time - lose your dreams and you might lose your mind
    Is life unkind

Goodbye Ruby Tuesday, who is gonna hang a name on you
and when you change with every new day, still I'm gonna miss you

Can't tie me down, damnit. Wanderlust to the end.

    2.45am - Elliott Smith.

Especially relevant given it was the last song he ever played, and a current situation.
