Get messages off phone before it's fixed?

To get back to my original question, am wondering if I can get some of the messages off it on to my laptop or something? There's a few I want to keep Thanks.

Yes you can. Try a program called MyPhoneExplorer which should do the job for you.

before you send your phone for repair try the sony software updater, it might fix the problem http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/phones/topic/updateserviceapplication?cc=US&lc=en make sure and back up your phone before updating..

Just wondering if anyone can explain what to do when i've downloaded the program. I connected phone with USB and went for firstly Media transfer and opened the MPE program but anything I clicked on said "My Phone Explorer has stopped working" and the program closed. Then I went for Phone Mode when connected to USB but this didn't work either. Boo!!
