Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    we're getting a mk2 transit camper soon and it has both batteries in the engine bay but how does it work.if we're parked up for the night would the fridge run alnight ok or is it's use limited?

    Your fridge wont run at all with the battery unless the engine is running. The battery wouldn't last very long so its needs the engine running to keep it charging. Does you fridge run on gas or 220v? You will need to hook up to 220v or run it on gas at night.

    at the moment don't know if it's gas or not.so not wishing to seem funny but what is the point of having a leisure battery and split charge.

    Things like water pumps, interior lights, fans, etc used for two-three nights without driving inbetween would drain your main battery sufficiently that the engine wouldn't start ...hence the leisure battery.

    The split charge should also be wired in such a way that the main battery gets recharged first when driving and only when that's full will the leisure battery be charged.
