Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I bought a car up north before and got killed on the banks exchange rate. Going to england soon for a car, not massive money <5000.

Anybody got advice on the best way to change my euro to sterling with at the best rate?
    Thanks

I used currency.ie and was happy with them.

cheers. I'm buying private though and that website seems to be more orientated at depositing to foreign accounts which the car sellers aren't keen on divulging their banking info!

its nothing to do with banking info really, it's about getting the best rate and getting the money transferred quickly. May not be suitable for you, but you could set it up in advance and lock in the rate and then call them to transfer money when you are happy with the car. It'd be there in a couple of hours.
