Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

well basically i was looking to swap a 98 passat 1.8L 105000mls for a smaller car for my sister and i've been offered an 01 vw polo for it with a 1.0l engine just nct'ed seems fairly good nick etc...,there is however one issue, the mileage on the clock stands at 102,000 miles im just wondering is this way too high for a 1.0l car,i know polos can be tough little cars but im just wondering is that mileage just too high for a small engine??

Judge the car more on condition and service history than on what the odometer reads. Mileage is not an accurate measurement of use or wear. Have the car inspected by a mechanic either way.

BTW 102k miles on an 8 year old car is just under 13k per year which is average enough for a petrol car.
