Bailieborough is quite a nice place to live...its population is about 2,500+. As for education it is much better than town like Kingscourt or Shercock which have no secondary school. Bailieborough has 3 primary schools and a community secondary school.

The town itself has its own swimming pool and gym, a brand new Tesco supermarket, a big super Valu, a massive recycling park and a good playground. It also has one of the best Librarys in the county. As for night life it has a good few pubs but could be better...

There is a nice forest nearby and you can go mountain walking also. There is a good few lakes surrounding the town. The links to Dublin are not great. There is a twice daily bus service to Dublin, but there is an hourly service from Virginia which is 15 mins away.

the town has grown a lot in the last few years like most other places. The link to the housing estate "the Hawthorns"....well its good for the price provided......there are many other nicer estates like "mulberry Manor" or " lisgrey Gardens" which in my opinion are better value for your money. The Hawthorns are in a good location about a 3 minute walk for the town centre, allthough it is surrounded by about 3 other estates so it is sprawling!!...

    hope this helps!
