Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What type of photography, sports you require accerditation with offical sporting bodies. for portraiture you need lights and a studio oh and the most important part is knowing how use your camera and having a talent for taking good shots

Good people skills, good technical skill and strong belief in what you are doing. I would also agree with Mele on the results and networking, Ireland is really small and word does spread very quickly.

You don't require it and most of the time you'll only get that when you're working with a paper(yes i've tried you have too).

If you're working for a paper then you'll be probably classing yourself as a photographer anyway.

Depending on the type,I'll say sports/Journalism you need to build up a portfolio of images that shows your ability to capture the moments then contact papers and what not if they're looking for a photographer and show them your portfolio you'll either get a job with them or be asked to cover some events for them,And you'll progress from there :P
