Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hello All,
My name Thomas I have just finished my third year of four doing Theology and Business level 8 degree in Galway. I was hoping to become a religion teacher. I know not a lot of people study religion (their only eight in our class) and was wondering was it hard for religion teachers to get a job do I need a master or is a degree enough. Would love to hear real life experience for people.
    Thanks in advance

Between Maynooth and mater dei there are alot of theology graduates out there. (not to mention milltown and carlow college and others like that)

The main problem with religion teachers is that there are alot of people out there with no qualifications in theology or even philosophy who are teaching it because alot of principals dont rate it as important. The introduction of it as an exam kinda improved the situation.

May I ask where in Galway you studied theology?

    Thanks for reply niall3r,
Am studying theology and business in GMIT Galway campus. The course could be ending in galway soon its still in the air. Was just wondering what the situation was like for a person with a theology degree and HDip nowadays, with the recession.
