Nice. Should have kept it euro and gone for a Skoda Octavia estate with the livery of your favourite pro team.

Or a 159 estate, I think (when) I get a Man car it will be one of these for getting to sportives and races.

aha you think ? with alfa's legendary reliability

now we can have a proper motors argument

I am a proud alfa owner for 5 years, love my 156 and it has been pretty reliable!

Dirk you should know better than to post a picture of a grey alfa, black or red are the only colors the 159 should be allowed in!

    Lazy google image searching.

Also, the Alfa reliability thing is a myth nowadays, modern Alfas are quite reliable. Unless you happen to own a nice 155 like a friend of mine, I think it's on it's second engine, which is pretty good.

I've been hearing that all my life. Alfas are the Zipp 404s of the motoring world. All reliability problems ended with the current model.

    @ Dirk, Lumen & alfalad -

Some say 'they're on a cycling forum - what's all this car talk about' and that clipless accelerator, brake and clutch pedals will be a bad motoring move but I think we might just have the three hosts of an Irish 'Top Gear' here!

Stay tuned next week when we find out if 'aero' still works when INSIDE the car!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,096 ✭✭✭anoble66

yeah, I know that from when I bought the FSA K-Force seatpost. I am hoping to lose most of the weight from my current tyres, tubes and skewers. In fact I know the FSA stem will be around 30g heavier than my current stem

Got the final parts to my XTR Groupset today including these, finally going to 9spd on my MTB:

I was very sceptical of this design of shifter when it came out but recently put some on my commuter so looking forward to trying these out! They have a large hole going through the shifter which is strange but very nice looking, will try post pic to show the hole later.

    Tasty or not?

I also like this one (particularly the "maglia nera" reference) but it's too expensive.

Rapha are out of stock of their lightweight jerseys and I need some mediterranean holiday gear.

Yes, I know that black is a bad idea in 30+ degree heat, but at least I can bake in style.

Other ideas welcome. Usual impossible requirements for avoiding looking too Freddish apply.

    For your hols?

    DZ Nutz fullzip lightweight jersey.
I posted link a few weeks back on this site but it was full of viruses.

    Maybe check again.

The Giro jersies are pretty lightweight. I have the pink leaders one. Nice. Very comfy, but not full zip.

On the prendas site the Xacabeo Galicia jersey is nice, white and full zip. Perfect for the med.

What's sizing like on the capo? How long did delivery take from racycles?

I'm claiming dibs on the san marco. Have had it a while now :)

As for Capo, I love their stuff and would love to buy more but I only have this one in black.

Delivery was very quick from RA. The website did blow up after I ordered so I rang them straight away and they were able to confirm that my order went through OK.

Sizing: I went for small jersey and medium bibs and I have plenty of room. I reckon those sizes would fit you. You are welcome to try for size.

The only problem with the Ortlieb panniers is the lack of a upgrade path, or any future requirement for replacement panniers, ever ;)

I would have got black if they had them - a bit more discrete. I don't know if I'll be able to live up to blue!
