    Hi,

New in here so please don't bite! I have an exam in a few days time and I really really need some help. There is a question that comes up every year on two equations worth 15% They are the Bernoulli's equation and the Continuity equation. I have passed papers but no answers. Have been on the net and in books for the last 3 hours trying to answer one question but I just can't get my head around it. I think if I saw one question done out it would help me a lot so I'm basically here to beg. Could someone please please please have a go at the question below and help me out???

"a venturi meter with a throat diameter 50mm, is installed in a 150mm diameter horizontal pipe. The difference in pressure between the main and the throat (p1-p2) is 30kN/m2. and the density of water is 100kg/m3.
    Calculate:
    (i) ratio of the velocity in the throat to the velocity in the main (V2/V1), using the continuity equation.
(ii) velocity in the main (v1), using bernoulli's equation.
    (iii) theoretical discharge in m/s"

Sorry I know thats long for an opening post but I really would appreciate some help.

maybe a nudge in the right direction then for part (ii)??
    I think i sussed part (i): and being V1/V2=A2/A1=.1109

I'm sure i need this to solve part 2 also but no idea how......
