Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Well done for putting up some photo's.

    No.1

I find the image too busy. It doesn't seem to be saying anything to me & just seems to be a record shot of the inside of the house.

    No. 2

The eyes are sharp & there is good use of DOF. The badge in the background is a distraction. The use of direct flash has flattened the image. It would have been better to have kept the whole ear in the frame.

    No. 3

Quite like the composition on this one. An interesting sky & a polarising filter would make a big difference. Best of the set for me.

    No. 4

There does not seem to be a subject or point of focus in this image. The burn out from the sun detracts from the image.

    No. 5
Nice use of foreground to bring the eye into the image. Would have been a nicer shot if the light was better, earlier in the morning or later in the evening. The loss of detail in the sky is a problem. If you have the RAW file you may be able to improve on this shot in Post Production.

    Yes, I can see that.

What alternative is there to direct flash? Use of light in the room already?

Yeh, my issue with that picture is the sky. What PP do you reccommend?

Thanks so much for your feedsback- only way to learn!

Congrats with your 1st C&C (you are very brave ;), only kiddin :p)
    I like pics 4 & 5.
My 2 cents (& I'm a learner myself), you have the right idea with no. 5, ie. something interesting in the foreground & leading to something interesting in the background. I think it needs a little alignment though, ie. the lake is not horizontal ! I suppose the over exposed background (burnt out sky) is not ideal either. One way to get good skies (in the middle of the day) is to use a Polarizer, a device that twists onto the front of your lens, or shoot with the sun at your back. 'Have a nice day now...'

I love the bike! Pictures are quite good especially from technical point of view. Keep on posting so we can see more.

    1.
I like but it needs to have a person in there to show... sort of the kind of person who lives there or who cycles that bike.. its empty.

    2.
Does nothing for me, it just looks like you took a picture of someone cat with on camera flash!

    3.
Its too tight and the head stone takes up like half of the photo! It needs to be looser get in more of the background and maybe the ground..

    4.
I like it but get a little lower to show the forest floor leading up to the light!

    5.
Could be a winner! Straighten it up and crop just a tiny but up from the bottom and it will look great! The sky is a little over exposed but sure what harm a little PP will do wonders!
