Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Which do you prefer? The top one is photoshopped and the bottom one is the original.

    Any editing tips? What did I do wrong? Right?
    Any editing suggestions?

    Thanks so much in advance!

    Interesting pic, nice PP, what did you use to 'light' the flowers ?

    Thanks,
    I used flash, unfortunately I broke my speed light recently and so I was just using the in-built.

    I can't see your photoshopped version so have no idea what you did with it! Flickr error.

    Ran the original through HDR though, thought you might be interested;

    Thanks I fixed the top photo. So you should be able to see it now.
    Thanks for that! What's HDR though?

    It stands for High Dynamic Range - meaning a larger range of colours being displayed than you would usually be able to see under certain conditions. Computer games often use it when rendering bursts of light in explosions, flashes, sunlight etc.

    However, in a photo retouching sense, it essentially means combining multiple exposures of the same image to produce a well exposed and coloured image - even in difficult light, generally by changing the exposure on a RAW image, and combining a few exposures together, or by taking a number of shots (typically 3) at different exposures using your camera Auto Exposure Bracketing function, and combining those together in Photoshop etc

    There is a sticky in the tutorials section here that should give you an idea of how it works.

    I think there's too much blue in the sky on the photoshopped version.

    Personally I don't like when a photo seems too unnatural... if it just screams 'Photoshopped' then it puts me off.

    If the blue is toned down though I think it'll work quite nicely.

    This is what it would look like with less blue:

    What do you think?
