Nokia Product Code from IMEI number

I have the IMEI of my Nokia 5800 and would like to know if there's anyone who could confirm the original Nokia product code from that IMEI. I don't trust the silver label.

It's one I got second hand and the details are not clear on the label. Want to make sure it is what it's supposed to be.

Enter: *#06# into the phone and if the imei matches the label whats the problem. Im guessing you dont have the box to verify it either?

I don't think the IMEI and product code are related.

The product code should be on the label and typing it into the Nokia site should tell you if it's a valid one. The link is http://www.nokia.co.uk/get-support-and-software/download-software/device-software-update/can-i-update

Alternatively using the Nemesis software that can be used to de brand the phones, should tell you the current product code

You can check the validity of an IMEI here: http://www.numberingplans.com/?page=analysis&sub=imeinr
But you want to have the original 05xxxxxx code of the IMEI? Well, that will be a bit harder.
