Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Need a p&s for bike

Can anyone recommend a point & shoot suitable for use on the bike.

    1. I'd like to be able to wear round my neck and just stop and take quick pics.

    2. It needs to be able to be on standby without using power so that I dont have to switch it on and wait for it to initialise before every shot.

    3. Needs to be robust and reasonably water proof

    4. at least 4x zoom

    5. robust

    6. cheap

    any recommendations ?

good question and sorry to be so vague. I already have a Canon bridge that cost me 500 quid a few years back, I have a Touch HD with a crap camera also, so I dont want to spend any kinda serious money on a simple round the neck p&s for the bike. Maybe upto 120 quid at a push. (is this unrealistic? how about ebay / decond hand)?

The big thing for me is usability. Nedd to grab it and press the shutter button, no waiting and no power wasting - needs to be great on batteries
