can't open attachments in new window

i'm trying to post pics in a thread, so as usual i upload them, then open them in a new window to get the url which i then normally put in the image tags, but for some reason this time, i'm getting the "invalid attachment specified" error message asking me to contact the admins. these are normal small jpgs which i've never…

just tried it here and it works, was trying to post the same pic in lolocaust motivational poster thread and was getting the error message. weird
