Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

haz 20 invites with nobody to give to. Anyone looking can PM with a copy&pastable address.

    [update]
Down to 18, up to 19, down to 17... It would appear that supply is far outstripping demand.

No it wasn't. It may well form part of the architechture but wave is still there and they are still improving wave as its own entity. its just that noone seems to be using it.

I actually think eventually it will catch on. Probably in house in companies for specific purposes and then it will spread. But for now. ......yawn

A couple of lads have been doing a live Matchcast for the World Cup matches on Wave. Seems to work well. (its a lot more up-to-date than other matchcasts).

Here is the LiveMatchcast wave - Live MatchCast index Wave

We are a bit short on pple to commenate. If anybody would be interested to have a go, you'd be more than welcome to. Or even just to discuss the games live. It could be an interesting way to use google wave.

I suggested it in my work place for a small project (six people), and it worked a dream. Hopefully they can roll some of the features into GDocs.

It is a very good idea, but I've hardly used it because nobody else does or they just don't get it. Because everyone is so used to the likes of emails it would be hard to get people to jump systems, but gradually adding in some of the features into other products where they can find a fit is the best way of making use of it. Internal company usage is more likely to work because your then forcing people to use the system, to get people to use in in their own real lives is a much bigger task to get them to change.

Yes I thought it was a very good Idea. Used to chat with some friends I persuaded to try it rather than crappy facebook chat. It felt more like a natural conversation with the livechat feature.

I thought the interface for wave was a bit too jumbled (although it was still a beta). It was something I tried my best to use in a way but I couldn't find a suitable use for. For example I messed around doing live match casts for the World Cup which worked quite well when we were able to commentate on the match together. Of course it was significantly quicker than any other internet based match cast.

I think google may have done a bit to promote this element of wave, they had made specialised 'waves' for scores etc. But all in all I think it was promotion of wave by Google that led to its demise, only one person I knew heard about wave. Pple who track websites like lifehacker heard of it but otherwise it was very unknown. The people who did use I talked thought it had great potential.

Hopefully they will implement the ideas into google chat, mail, docs and other apps.
