worth upgrading?

    I brought a gtx 260 896mb card last september,Im just wondering would it be worth upgrading to 280gtx or even a 295gtx?

    Any advice apreciated :)

    I would say no. You'd get what a 10% performance boost at a full cost of a new card? no thanks. Thats why I wait a while. When Im going to be spending $200 anyway I like going up in performance by folds, not margins.

    It depends on what setup. What's your machine and more importantly your monitor size? You'd see huge gains in certain games at high resolution with AA, but if you're using 1440x900 or lower forget about it. I assume its the 192SP edition 260? Bit strange to be mentioning GTX280 or GTX295, the two are leagues apart even...

    core 2 quad Q9300 @2.5Oghz,4 gigs ram and I have a 22 inch monitor,I use the highest resolution when game cant remember what that is.

    Probably 1680x1050, although some of the newer 21 and 22' can do 1920x1200.

    There's a massive difference on a graphics card between 1680x1050 and 1920x1200, 1920 being a tough resolution to game at, I've just upgraded from a 512MB 4870 to a 2GB 4870x2 cos I game at 1920. I could max or nearly max most games but antialiasing was the killer at this res, it eats graphics ram.
