Read through this one last night. I liked it, but his views on the northside are cringeworthy to read.

    I think he's a dislikeable, arrogant gobsh*te, tbh.

Nice site & well laid out. Good, bright photographs and I like the fonts used throughout - well done!

That last blog looks so professional so I'm a bit embarrassed to put up mine - but hey it'd be good to get it out there! I've only just posted again in the last few days, it's been on the back burner for the last 9 months! It's all about food basically - dining out, recipes, cookery books - anything at all to do with food!!

@ leahyl .. Nice blog & nice photos of Cork too. Did you do the site yourself with a template or something or get some help? Looks very good. Was on;y talking to someone about The Workshop recently so must give this a go soon.

    Loire.

Thanks Loire! It's the wordpress template - you can set one up for free; still only getting the hang of it to be honest! Once I have a few more things up I'll be able to categorize them etc.

    Appreciate the feedback :)

My young fella has started a healthy food Youtube channel.

I don't mind helping out with the video despite being new to editing etc. It's a great way to spend time with him and it's also great to teach him a life skill. :)

http://minimalistbaker.com/ is a great one for veggies and recipes which don't require a million ingredients.

Recently discovered This Muslim Girl Bakes. Despite the name, it's not just baking but more home cooking.

She tends to go through a recipe with photos and comment, and at the end post the formal recipe with quantities etc.

She's been away for a few weeks and today's returning post is not typical. It has a lot of photos, so be warned if you're using expensive bandwidth.

Haven't mentioned As Srong As Soup in this thread before because postings have slowed to a handful a year, but he's just posted a recipe for Salade Polletaise (course, you all know what that is, so I'm embarrassed to say I didn't know it was a pickled herring/potato assembly).

    Worth wandering through his archive.

    Couple of favourites:

    Marmalade Frozen Yoghurt

    Lime Pickle

    Caghuse

Aromatic Lamb with Dried Apricots, although as written it's too sweet for me.

Delighted to find all these great suggestions. Here are some of my own for healthy, mostly vegetable-focused recipes (I particularly love making soups).

    cookieandkate.com

    thatcleanlife.com

    thehealthytart.com

    susanjanewhite.com/

    deliciouslyella.com

I actually find Rosanna Davison's recipes quite good too. Her butternut squash soup recipe was wonderful.

Any other suggestions for photo-rich blogs with nice soup recipes in particular?

I put all my food on insta these days.

Everything gluten free but don't let that put you off:P

Great, thanks dibkins, just added you on insta (I'm curiouscat4140).

Do you have a blog with the recipes as well or just post pics? Love pictures but then always want to make the stuff. Just saw your buckwheat pancake and wondering where you got the recipe? I've tried a few before and they didn't really work too well for me. Just wondering as yours looks nice and thick.

Coo:) I don't generally post recipes as i wing it most of the time!

My buckwheat pancake mix is 50g buckwheat flour, 25g plain gluten free flour, 1 large egg, salt to season and then anywhere from 100 to 200 ml of milk (usually on the lower end of that scale). For some reason this mix varies a lot in how much liquid it can take, but i do make it quite liquid! Then i let it rest for 30 mins before using.

Great. How many pancakes do those proportions make?

That would make 2 of the ones from the pic which is about the size of a regular frying pan. The batter keeps well for a day in the fridge, might need a little extra milk after resting is all.

Sweet, thanks. Looking forward to making them. I really love buckwheat!!!
