Got a loan out with BOI couple of years ago owe roughly 3k.
I lost my job on wednesday. The company I was working for closed 4 of its branches and let go six staff. I was working for them for 7 months. I was not made redundant just let go because the work was not there.
I was checking through my old bank records and found the loan application, I did not even realise I took out PPI on the loan.
The PPI was for redundancy Life and Serious Illness.

Would any one know if I would be elegible for PPI?

    Thanks

That's kind of the basic defination of redundancy.

But you need to check the T&C of your policy, it might state how long you needed to have worked for your employer, and might not kick in at the start of the loan,
