A4 Alarm problem

My 2002 A4 Alarm has started going off for no reason. Even with the internal motion sensor switched off, it still goes off. Someone suggested changing the Battery, but this did not work. Nothing in the hand book to show you how to switch it off. Anybody else have this problem... do not want to take this to a main dealer.

Could be the internal rechargeable battery in the siren which is on it's way out.

DIY here, based on a TT but will be similar.

Nice one... Did the op.. exactly the problem. The Original Cell's no longer made, but can make do with BN24B NiMh3V/150h) with little modification. Are available from Maplin
    Thanks again....
