Castletroy one is definitely there (you get a receipt from the machine which you have to cash in at the post office, also in that shop).

Raheen one is definitely there too. Its the store up in Ballycummin near Clohessys pub. Machine is just inside the front door.

Keep meaning to use that, Am always worried that if
I use it and it prints a ticket that the machine will be out of ink and it will eat my money!
I've never see anyone use it, and it always looks turned off or as if it does not work.

I keep a change jar and every so often when times are tight
I empty and count it. Sorting out 50's 20's and 10's I can live with but when you have a ton of coppers its painful to count by hand. Throwing everthing into a machine that will save all of that time may be worth the Interest that they take.

it always looks turned off but its grand, just ask them before you use it, also about the ink thing, funny you say that cause that actually happened me but when they put in the new role of paper it knew how much so it printed grand.

If you have a lot of change I reckon it needs to be bagged
since they weigh it by groups of full bags.

I've always wondered why they dont have the change machines at the banks themselves.

What, do you mean banks could actually be useful?
That when I go in to ask about a small car loan they will not ignore me?
That they'll be open after 4pm and before 10am?
That when I order a laser card they won't forget.
That they will now let me put a small sum of money on my credit card.
That I can transfer money to another bank without having to actually take the money out and drive to the other bank to lodge it?

    That'll be the day.

    12.5% in castletroy.
pick out the big coins and save yourself a bit on the commission.

12.5% is pretty steep to be honest.

It is alright...greedy fcuks..like someone said just bring in your 5c/2/1c pieces.
I had over €50 last week in those coins alone.
Took me nearly 2 hours to count all my change. I only cash it in every 3 months or so and it would normally be about the €300 mark. Not so bad :)

I had 98 and I got about 88 for it at centra dock rd, which is a bit sickening, but its nice just being able to throw it in the machine and not bother bagging or counting, and most importantly it was the weekend and I work during all banking hours anyway.

Just noticed that my local Spar (Henry street near corner flag pub) is after getting a coin counting machine. They are claiming that its the cheapest in Limerick at 8.5%!

Yeah, this is why I've left it open. There would be very little point in starting a new thread for this topic. Case-by-case judgement, etc.

I used the one in Spar in Castletroy the other day and it was 9.5%.

The one with the Post office, close to the Pagoda Chinese restaurant.
