Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It was a fantastic display, really well done. Was very hazy and glarey out though so not great for photo's all the same. Still though Salthill was thronged with people so did the town some good!

Great photos. They are something id love to get some good shots off.
I must check if they are anywhere else in Ireland soon.

Fantastic shots. I'd say they were difficult to photograph?

They're in Portrush sometime late in the year, usually in September IIRC.

Smashing pics, the yokes they fly as far as I know are Alphajets. They're a fighter pilot training jet and are allegedly one of the most manouvreable machines around.

    there hawk jets http://www.deltaweb.co.uk/reds/hawk.html

the alphas are flown by the french display team
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patrouille_de_France

they look very similar tho. ;)

I love 4 & 6 in the first set and the last one in the last set. Well done.
One pointer. I'd look at upping the red saturation in No's 3 & 5 in the first set to give them a bit more life. The same with the second one in the last set. However excellent shots.

Thanks for that all :D, it was a really lovely day out, perfect for viewing but the haziness of the day made it very difficult for good photo's. Should have had a Circular Polariser on but the 70-200 is a 77mm thread so have to get one to fit for next outting. Theres a thread in the Galway forum with more photo's of the Red Arrows if anyones interested (I believe the link was posted in this thread).
Regarding my flickr, as suggested just click on the pics in my sig and it will take you there :)
