yes. its about as long as one of the hl2 episodes but its enjoyable. it was great to see how Barney's story ties into gordon's, and how Barney escapes from black mesa.

Its not as good as opposing force though IMO.

Something just seems off about it.

Thats a shame, as far as single player games go, HL2 and its episodes are head and shoulders above the rest.

It's not that it's just HL, I just don't like single player FPS. They bore the ****e out of me.

    Kinetic I'm shocked.

Anyway, I'm gonna replay HL1 when the Black Mesa remake is done.

same as, been waiting a while for it now, this year apparently.

I gave the "riot act" hl2 mod a go a few months back. I'd recommend it if you're in the mood for something hl2-esque and to distract from the wait for blackmesa source.

It's listed under the free stuff & mods in steam.

Also, I heard Minerva is an excellent SP mod of HL2.

Oh, and if you haven't already, the cinematic mod of HL2 and the episodes is amazing.

lol. If I recall correctly the story with this is that some kid posted a Half-Life inspired er.. short story I suppose you would call it. It was so mind-bendingly awful, grammatically retarded and just plain ordinary retarded that someone decided to make the retarded author's vision & opus retardus into a little movie.

I think there is a follow up to that somewhere as well.

edit: oh yeah. Think this must be the Director's Cut or something.

Cinematic mod updates HL2 with super hi-res graphics and stuff, and also replaces some of the models with ones that look like porn stars. Yes. Apparently you can play it with the original models too though. They recommend running it on a 64bit system as it requires buckets of memory.

It makes this look like this

Here's a good youtube video, although the modder, fakefactory is working on v10 atm. Seriously, it's a completely different game. Amazing draw distances compared to the original and a really good cinematic score.

If you drag that "No deeplinking" image into a new tab you'll be able to see the original image
