Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Xbox not reading discs at all

Regular DVD's, everything on external hard drives, dashboard loads etc etc but just won't play discs at all. Just reads them as DVD's and get the "to play this disc, please insert in an xbox 360 console". Anyone know how much this will cost to get repaired and is there any decent repair places around Limerick rather than posting?

I had this last year with an old Premium console.

If the console is less than 12 months old you are entitled to a replacement from where you bought it. If it is more than 12 months old then MS will fix it for €80 last time I checked.

You can fix it yourself for a lot less than this by buying a new DVD drive and replacing it. DVD drives can be bought on Ebay for around €40 and it is a very simple job to replace them. The only issue with doing it yourself though is that it voids the 3 year warranty from MS for the RROD or E74 error.
