Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Bascially due to a medical condition, I have to give up driving & therefore will have to sell my car, its a 03 Seat ibizia. I hear everyone saying its a buyers market etc. I am wondering would a gargage take it off me for cash when i am not trading in.
I or none of my family are not car savvy so would not feel very confident selling it as a private sale.

    Any advice

Sell it private, a a garage will give you a very very small amount for it

Have a look on carzone to get the average selling price for a car similar spec and mileage to yours. If you don't want to spend anything advertising try listing it on adverts.ie, gumtree.ie or carsireland.ie - include good quality clear photos specifying the good points of the car, NCT, tax, etc.

You don't need any mechanical experience to sell a car, it's upto the buyer to inspect the car and find any faults (Caveat Emptor), set a fair price and prepare to be haggled with.

    Good luck.

Just be warned of the usual scam type phone calls from fake agencies claiming to have a number of interested buyers on their books who they will pass on your details to for a fee. They will look for your credit card details, there is no such buyers and you will never see your money again.
