9.6v Battery in a MP5k

    anybody know if it is safe to use a 9.6v battery in a Galaxy MP5K
    yes i know the ROF will be greater but will the gearbox hold up and what will the rate of internal parts wear be like

    Safety wise... yes it should... but whether you can FIT a 9.6 stick inside... i dont know

    I have a 9.6v in my MP5K. You have have to modify things a little, but it can be done.

    You take out the charging handle assembly, chop it down 1 cells length and reinstall, a bit of black paint or tape on the end of the battery looks well too as it will be exposed.

    And since were on the subject of 9.6v batteries, the point where the bevel and spur gear meet exploded into two halves. Classic army though:rolleyes:
