Has anyone here used this program? What are your opinions on it? Is it easy to use?

I am looking to download any version of SAS so I can learn how to use it. It seems like this program is used in a variety of jobs, in particular, jobs related to finance/economics/statistics.

Does anyone know where I could download the program? I have a training manual but would like to get clicking on this one.

You need to buy it. It's quite expensive but if you are a student you may be eligible for a cheaper verison.

There is a free alternative available called R. It's quite different but I prefer it. I find programming in R a lot more intuitive having programmed before.

/edit: That website is a load of crap. It's turned the whole thing into a ****-heap of management-speak.
