    hey guys,

just wondering, can you enter aus for 90days, leave for a week, and come back then for another 90days, just as long as you dont work? Do you need a tourist visa to do this and if so are the tough to get?

Also, would it affect the chances of getting a WHV if you are applying from say thailand(there on hols) or somewhere like that?

    Thanks

Yes you can apply for a ETA
    have a look here
    http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/tourist/visa-options.htm

No they are very easy to get, if you want to come to Oz for 6 months, you may want to apply for a tourist visa, which you can extend up to 6 months.

with an ETA you can visit Aus more than once at 3 months at a time.

    cost is $20.

No it would not affect your WHV, unless you over stayed your visa.
It doesn't matter where you apply from, just remember you can only hold one visa at a time, so if you want to have a holiday then work, apply for tourist/eta, then apply for WHV.
