Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Sir Alex Ferguson.

He says United are the biggest in the world, yet they miss out on Kaka, top 3 in the world on form. He needs to leave.
Does that make Mark Hughes a world class manager then?

3 shocking transfers on that list

    Lentini - 13m
    Denilson - 21.5m
    Papin - 10m

In fairness Jean Peirre Papin was class back then, was still playing last season too!

Lentini was worth it and would have been one of the best players in the world for years to come if he hadn't driven into a tunnell wall at 90mph in his shiney new ferrari.

Why is Ferguson part of this discussion?

I would love to see the hyperbole in Marca and AS today.

Who is next? The firm money is on Villa. I really hope Barca scupper that one, but doubt they will pay the ludicrous money Real will. Ribery not too far behind, with Albiol to come in with little or no fanfare.

Papins transfer to milan never really worked out though? I seem to remember he was nearly always on the bench! Maybe there were other issues like settling in Italy, and Savecivic etc keeping him out of the team.
