    Hi,
The old folks recently bought a 306 HDI, gotta say it's a grand car.
Surprised I like it so much tbh.
Anyway, there's a trip meter yoke in it where it gives fuel consumption, average speed, miles left in tank etc,but when the old man asked me where it is,I couldn't find.
Have tried googling, but unless I download the manual(vodafone dongle's rubbish after 6),I can't see which stalk this feature is on.
Anyone know where this feature is??
    TIA.

On my car this stalk is the one on the left of the column which also operates the indicators, but by pressing it in it calls up the display for the computer and shows it on the dash. Not a 306 but may work on the same principle, just try pressing them in, as in down towards the column.

On my citroen (should be similar tbh) the stalk on the right (wipers) has a button on the end which cycles through the available options.

Funny you should say that, I was exactly the same when I first drove one. I was working for a VAG dealership at the time, took one as a trade-in and dumped the A4 i'd been driving in favour of the Peugeot. And mine was only a 1.4, and a bit ratty at that.;)

Yeah, I tried this to no avail. There is a button on the end of both stalks, thr right being the washerwiper, the left didn't do anything:confused:

Fairly sure it's washer wiper, the more I think about it, the less I remember:o

As above, the cars got a few extras-it's a very fast car too(old man doesn't know this though;))

On my 407 its the button on the end of the wiper stalk.

    3 displays.

1, estimate km left in tank--current l/100km---average speed

    2, trip 1 distance---trip l/100km---average speed

3 same as 2 but seperatly resetable

you reset the trips by keeping the button pushed continuously

not sure if I should mention another forum but you might get more help here

They all came form the uk . . . first of all no 306 hdi came with full leather, automatic lights or you guessed it, fold in mirrors, none came with 6 speeds except the petrol gti6 and the horsepower was 90 not 136, I have a feeling its not a 306 :)

If you need proof go to pug306.net and join up, you will soon understand what a 306 is

    or a 406 maybe? (6 speed 136bhp rapier??)
The car sounds like it should have the trip computer alright. They were basic on most models from the 307 and up.
    What year is the car?

Didn't the 306 only come in D-Turbo and Turbo-D guise? Was the HDi in the 306 at all??

correction the 306 only came with 90 hp, it has the DW10 engine! they are mainly d turbos but there are a few rare commonrail Hdi gems in Ireland and I happen to have one, 160 bhp with an updated map from a uk 306 specialist :D

Just to add for cashmni1 the D turbo was the spec level not the engine, my car is a d turbo but has a hdi engine. its the highest spec model

    P.s. no problem, i had a feeling it wasnt a 306 :P

ya they should be a very fast car. all you do is press the the wiper button at the side once and this will bring how much miles per gallon you have done press it again it tells you how much is left in the tank press it again and it gives the date etc keep pressing it until you get the info you want. make sure you dont keep it pressed to long as they will reset the averages and you will have to start again.

my guess would be about +mpg and about 600 miles per tank.
