Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Catalytic Converter

My car failed the NCT emmissions massively on the emissions and i was told that it was the cat converter causing the trouble and possiby the lambda sensor.
Its a 2000 opel astra with a 1.2l engine (code x12xe). This engine is mainly used in the corsa and my question is will the cat below for a corsa with the same engine fit my car? Its working out around £100 sterling as opposed to €300 + for one here.

Also how much work is involved in fitting it and how much would you expect to pay for labour?

I've only done it on a Clio and a Passat so I don't really know, but here's a free bump.

I just ordered one for my Corsa last week after a retest failure on CO emissions. 90 euro from my local garage in county Wicklow.

The opel dealer wanted 150 for parts and 150 for two hours labour!
