Wages?

Hey im curently in 5th year going into 6th and am concidering joining the garda at the new recruitment stage and am just wondering what the salery is.......

www.gra.ie, select the salary scales option, then pay scales.

I'm not a garda but I believe there are certain allowances you can claim on top of your basic salary, such as rent allowance.

The GRA website only has the wages from when you are attested which is when you finish Phase 3. On phase 1-3 you are paid approx €204 (might have increase recently) with €80 in rent allowance. The sting is on phase 1 and 3 you are put up in the college either on campus or off campus so the rent allowance is kept from you. On phase 2 however you are paid the rent allowance

Doesnt sound too bad at all, chears for that man.....

Any idea when the next recruitment stage is? Just out of curiosity.

a word of advice dont join AGS for the pay packet theres no point in doing a job just for the money:p. . . .

Thanks for all the advice lads.... Im not joining for the pay packet its a job iv always wanted to do, just wasnt sure what i would be getting payed.:)
